September 1st

Life is getting so crazy around here !!!! Today is my DD Val's first volleyball game... I have been so consumed with making cards and swaps lately, I have been putting Val's HS book on hold. Well I am trying to get back on track with it and misc LO for me.
Today is the first of a new month and a time to remember to slow down and do what I so enjoy doing... So I decided I would make it my goal to start doing the challenges from Scrap Your Crap, a challenge blog done by a good friend.And here is my page, I have only had the pic laying here for the last year....lol

And yes Lora, I will TRY to post on this thing more often.....:)

June 10th

Today I was given an award from my good friend Gina and I have to tell you 1o things about myself.....
1. I am a very creative person.
2 I have little to no patience.
3. I bore easily and I am constantly changing my mind on how to do things...lol
4 I have been married to the same man for 29 years.
5.I have 3 children but my 2 boys are grown and away for home so most of my scrapping is of and for my daughter...she is a junior in HS
6.Right now I am stuck on reading....I read a lot and have been reading vampire books with the Twilight series still my favorite....That and the Dark Hunter series
7. I am a good cook but I hate doing it...What a waste of time,for something that you eat in 10 minutes...lol
8.I have a college degree in a field I don't work in and hate....lol
9.I keep forgetting that I am to post in this blog daily.
10. I have done a lot of hobbies but I think I enjoy scrapping the most , an I am addicted to paper...lol

The Gift

Tuesday, I got a very special gift for 2 ladies I am on Cricut MB with. I got something I dream of getting for sometime .... I got a Personal Cricut Machine (the baby bug) And I love it !!!!! It took me about a day of just looking at it and pinching myself to even believe this was not a dream.
I have been playing with it, between finishing an on-line crop Card Makers was having.... Here is one of the challenges from there (a painting technique), that I use my NEW baby bug on....

Inchies

I have been spending more time chatting on-line than normal.... And getting ready for our 1st on-line crop over at Card Makers. But last night I worked and got the inchies done for a swap I am in.....TFL

Blog Stalker

I tend to find myself spending more time stalking blogs to see what is "new" and getting ideas... My list of blogs I read is getting longer and longer. I tend not to leave post alot but I do read them all !!!! OK I am just plain "lazy" and hate to type....lol but i do check them all daily....some every few hours for new looks....lol

Last night I found myself needing to make a card for a challenge I am doing in Card Makers , the blinkie is added at end of posting.. So i went to one of my fav blogs,http://jeanette-h20creations.blogspot.com/ and decided to look at old posts. I came across this card made by another one of my good friends (Mmora )and I just had to try it... Here is my take on it and I hope you like how it turned out as much as I do.....TFL

St Pat Can

This is a paint can that I did for a swap in Cricut. The lady I made it for has already received it so now I can post it.... I had fun making this one, out of elements that had been given to me from other swaps.... TFL

I am sooo ready for FRIDAY !!!!

Just a quick note before I have to go to the last basketball pep-rally. Tonight is the last basketball game and I am soooo ready for it. This year has gone by so fast and I thought it would slow down after Christmas.....NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
I am trying to get caught up on some of my swaps. I had to make cards for Spring and I really was stumped on this one and even turned to a card sketch, but once they were done... I kind of liked them, TFL. Sue

Today is a "lazy" day for me... We are having BEAUTIFUL weather and I am going to take advantage of it, by just playing today !!!!!!!!
The last couple of days have been a little disappointing... They have made we wonder about what some people think, or even wonder if they DO think....lol Both situations have been some what resolved but they make you think about what is important to you.
The first is about swaps... First I will say, I LOVE swaps... I will admit to it and I will also admit I am in wayyyyyyyyyyy too many swaps but I will probably join more....lol And as a person who loves swaps and has hosted many a swap, I know life happens....lol And no matter all the "good intentions" you have when signing up, well sometimes you just have to say " I can't do this" Most hostess have NO problem with this, but let them know. There is nothing more frustrating than someone not answering e-mails , pm's or even receiving late items.
The 2nd is a bit more painful... In the past couple days, I have seen people I care about get hurt on-line.I think ALL ( even myself) need to remember to THINK before we talk on the computer. In this medium all we have is words. And often what we mean to express with those words are misinterpreted.
I really started to erase this post and keep it myself....lol Then I thought , this is MY blog and I can post what is important to me.... So I decided to leave it....
Now on a lighter note, I finished one of my many swaps. I needed to make thank you cards and this is what I came up with.... TFL and listening to me rant......Sue

What we do for others....

Just a quick note..... Valentines day is quickly approaching...lol And my daughter came to me Sunday and said MOM I need 4 gifts for Valentines day for my BF's....
What are "we" going to do?????
Well if you know "anything " about 16 yr olds, you would know that we mean ME....lol
So we went to store and got 4 lg candy bars to decorate, but Val was told. "I will decorate them ( I meaning me) but you have to decide what is to be done to them...." So between the 2 of us we picked out the paper and the stickers. And these are what I came up with... I kind of like them and I know I'm loving this new border punch from Stampin Up..... TFL

Finally.....

Yesterday I got an email telling me that a "fav" site of mine was gonna have an impromto crop(http://www.2sassy.proboards102.com )... Lora was starting it with her first challenge.
I just HAD to do it but I didn't have the proper amount of pics, so I begged her to change it and SHE DID !!!!! Well I haven't done a LO in about 8 months....lol Ohhhh I scrap all the time , just been doing cards and ATC's.
Well I got it done last night and I really like it. Hope you do also..... TFL Sue

Today I'm gonna vent !!!!!

Hello...
I told myself I would try to always think positive when writing in here and guess what???? I am positive I need to vent....lol
First I love swaps... I just do and I love seeing all the new ideas I get from others .... But I have a major problem with people who say they are going to do something and don't do it.... If a person signs up for a swap, you should do it.... Or at least have the courtesy to bow out, not ignore pm's from others.... I am just grateful to having been in some wonderful swaps where the hostess is on the ball.
Needless to say today has been a not so good day for me.... But I did get some cards done for a swap Lora is running... One swap down and only 5 more to do for February....lol I not even gonna mention March.... Just gonna do 1 month at a time..... TFL !!!!!

Today I am feeling anything but "inspired"... But that is OK, some days are like that and since it is 65 degrees outside . I should probably be out there....

Hi All !!!!!

Lots has been happening around and colds and flu is only "part" of it....lol I haven't got to be on-line or even scrap as much as I would like.... But I have gotten a few things done.
I am hostess to a Valentine card swap that I am ready to send back Tuesday (since tomorrow is a Holiday)


And here is my Alphabet Inchies for a swap that my good friend Lora is hosting...

And I have a couple more card swaps I still need to get done next 10 days....lol I will show those when I get motivated and do them......:) Sue

January 8th

Good Morning !!!!! With all the things I have to do today, guess what I doing....lol Writing in my blog....
I do have a good start on my day.... Laundry going, dishes in water, trash out by the street and my morning errands are ran... All things I do daily and try to get done in morning, so some of the afternoon is mine....lol
When I got home from doing errands , I was puzzled by a knocking I was hearing outside..... I found the reason, we have a tiny little woodpecker in the tree by house. Of course I was fascinated and ran in house to get my camera.....lol Well he was still there when I got back, but do you know how hard it is to take a pick that far away looking straight up in a tree.....lol Needless to say I didn't get my pic and he was very upset to be so bothered, but it reminded me sometimes it is the tiniest moments that make life so special...
Well those dishes aren't gonna wash them self, so I better get busy.... Maybe I will get to chat more on here later but most likely not today.... So have a great day all and remember to look for that woodpecker in your life too.......:) Sue

January 7th

Last night I went to Mary's house so we could scrap together. We both got "some" stuff done , more talking and playing around with products. I brought my new "fav" heat embossing, which I am totally hooked on.....:) Well Mary isn't as thrilled with it... She likes things that are done in just a few steps, which is NOT embossing...lol But that is the best part of this art form,everyone likes different things . We also played with Glimmer Mist which I had never used before. This is something I want to do more "experimenting" with....lol

On my drive to Mary's house I was thinking about how everyone uses scrap booking items differently... And what is the "right" way to use them.... And I had to laugh, cause there is NO RIGHT way to do anything... ( Here is where I should say there is only MY way doing it...lol) But the truth is , as long as you are happy with the outcome of your art, it is the "right" way...
Sometimes when I get so caught up in all the swaps I am doing and all the magazines with all the newest things in them, I have to remind myself WHY am I doing this....lol It is so nice to get recognized and complimented on something you have done... But in the end this is MY ART and I am doing it because it pleases me...
And here is the last thing I have created an ATC for my Valentine swap in Cardmakers , TFL and I hope you will be as happy with it as I was...... Sue

January 6th 2009

Yayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! I am packing up my embossing stuff and the other items I need for my ATC's cuz I am going to go a scrapping with one of my best "buds" Mary tonight....

I plan on working on my Valentime ATC's and just playing .... Another good friend of mine got me started on "embossing" and now I am hooked....lol And I bet Mary is also by time night is over.....lol

This afternoon I really need to make a "dent" in the book I am reading right now, Stephanie Meyers " The Host". I love reading and just loved her Twighlight series but this one is different. And though I do like it, it just doesn't read as fast... Sue

January 5th

Today ,I am still fighting this cold but I really believe I have almost gotten over it....
I have been playing in my scrapping room getting ready to go scrapping with Mary at her house tomorrow...I know I can't take everything so I am trying to figure out what I want to work on... I have several cards swaps to get done and an a ATC swap...
I just checked my mail and I got a message from Jason that he received his can so I can post pics now. It was done for a "sweet treat" swap I was in and filled with scrapping goodies and chocolate.... It was the first can I have done and I really enjoyed doing it and look forward to making more.... Which is really good cause I also need to do a St Patrick and an Easter one also.....:) TFL Sue

Happy New Years

Today starts the new year of 2009 and I am sick.....lol
I promised myself I would post here more often and also post what I have been working on... I just finished my 1st paint can for a swap I am doing in Cricut. But even though I have taken pics of it, I won't post them till the person receiving it tells me they have gotten it... They should see it first...
